Nircef DS 100/62.5 Mixed Fruit Paed Dry Syrup 30 ml belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat various bacterial infections such as pharyngitis/tonsillitis (throat infections), otitis media (ear infections), sinusitis (infection of the sinuses), community-acquired pneumonia, gonorrhoea (sexually transmitted disease), anorectal infections in women, skin, and urinary tract infections. Nircef DS 100/62.5 Mixed Fruit Paed Dry Syrup 30 ml is a combination of two antibiotics, namely: Cefpodoxime (cephalosporin antibiotic) and Clavulanic acid (beta-lactamase inhibitor). Cefpodoxime works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for their survival. Thereby, kills the bacteria. Clavulanic acid works by decreasing bacterial resistance and enhancing the activity of cefpodoxime against the bacteria. Together, Nircef DS 100/62.5 Mixed Fruit Paed Dry Syrup 30 ml helps to treat bacterial infections. Nircef DS 100/62.5 Mixed Fruit Paed Dry Syrup 30 ml is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including beta-lactamase-producing strains.

Tablet/Capsule: Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew, or crush the tablet/capsule.Syrup/Suspension/Drops: Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided by the pack; shake the pack well before each use.Dry syrup: Check the label for directions before use. Add boiled and cooled water up to the mark on the bottle and shake well. Take it as advised by the doctor.Dispersible tablet: Disperse the tablet in water and consume it.
