Loo-Chek 10mg Suspension 30ml belongs to a group of medications called ‘antidiarrheal’ used to treat symptoms of acute (short-term) diarrhoea in infants and children over 3 months of age. Loo-Chek 10mg Suspension 30ml contains ‘Racecadotril’, a prodrug (inactive form) that gets converted into ‘thiorphan’ (active form) which reduces the watery secretions produced by the intestine. It helps in decreasing the loss of fluid from the body, thus reducing the symptoms of diarrhoea and the risk of dehydration.
Directions for Use
Suspension: Administer the prescribed dose to the child using the measuring cup/dropper/dosing syringe. Shake the pack well before each use.Kid tablet: It should be swallowed as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew or break the kid tablet/capsule.Dispersible tablet: Check the label for directions before use. Disperse the tablet in the prescribed amount of water and swallow the contents. Do not crush, chew or swallow as a whole.Granules: Mix it with water or a beverage. Stir well and let your child swallow it immediately.
