Hy-Cid Sugar Free Mint Flavour Suspension 170 ml is a combination of four drugs, namely; Aluminium hydroxide (antacid), Magnesium hydroxide (antacid), Oxetacaine (local anaesthetic) and Simethicone (anti-flatulent). Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide works by neutralising excess stomach acid. Oxetacaine exerts a numbing effect, thereby provides relief from pain due to ulcers or acidic injury in the stomach. Simethicone works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitates the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching (burping). Together, Hy-Cid Sugar Free Mint Flavour Suspension 170 ml used to treat acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), and stomach upset.
