CO Mupimet Collagen Particles 5 ml treats various bacterial skin infections, impetigo, rosacea, and bacterial vaginal infection. It consists of Mupirocin and Metronidazole. Mupirocin is an antibiotic and prevents the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out their vital functions. It effectively treats impetigo caused due to Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) and Streptococcus pyogenes (S. pyogenes). Metronidazole is an antibacterial drug that treats insect bites, skin ulcers, bed sores, wounds and other bacterial and parasitic infections. It inhibits the DNA synthesis of bacteria and certain parasites and prevents their cell growth.
